Founded by California wine legend Robert Mondavi and his son Tim (the mind behind Opus One, Luce, and Seña, with over 40 years of winemaking experience), Continuum crafts tiny quantities of single-vineyard wine from high-altitude, volcanic soils on Pritchard Hill. Consistently rated among the world's best and a collector's must-have, the estate has pushed the Mondavi family reputation to new heights. RAEN: Sonoma's Rising Star
Fourth-generation Mondavi brothers Carlo and Dante left the family spotlight to pursue purity in Sonoma. RAEN (Research Agriculture Enology Naturally) uses ancient Burgundian methods including 100% whole-cluster fermentation (fewer than five California wineries use this technique), minimal intervention, and four-year-aged French oak to craft some of the state's most elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
