🏯 About the Producer

Based in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture, Asaka Distillery is operated by Sasanokawa Shuzo, a historic sake producer whose whisky-making roots date back to 1946. Whisky distillation restarted under the Asaka name in 2016, bringing a new chapter to that heritage. Housed in a traditional earthen-walled storehouse, the distillery draws its character from the local climate, its production methods and varied maturation casks.
