🏛️ About BIVB
The Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB), formally established in 1989, is the official interprofessional body representing the wines of Bourgogne. It unifies the region's viticulture and trade under a single organisation dedicated to promoting, protecting and advancing the reputation of Burgundy wines worldwide. The BIVB played a central role in the inscription of the 1,247 Climats of Bourgogne as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015, recognising the region's extraordinary mosaic of named vineyard plots, shaped by over 2,000 years of observation and cultivation. Through its education programmes, technical research and global outreach, the BIVB ensures that the story of Bourgogne, from its Régionale appellations to its mythical Grands Crus, continues to reach wine lovers and professionals around the world.
