Organised by Major Cellar, with Wine Cave, this six-day journey takes you into Yunnan’s mountain valleys to discover the vineyards, people and Tibetan cultural heritage behind Shangri-La’s emerging wine scene.

Travelling from Lijiang to Shangri-La via Tacheng, Cizhong and Meili, this six-day experience brings together winery visits, conversations with estate representatives and tastings against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and dramatic river gorges.

A highlight is a rare visit to a hidden boutique estate, where the owner will personally open unreleased and limited-production wines exclusively for participants.

Explore mountain vineyards at elevations of approximately 2,200–3,100 metres, meet the people behind the wines and discover how this distinctive landscape shapes their work.

The journey also includes a visit to Cizhong Church, offering an opportunity to explore the region’s wine-growing heritage alongside its cultural history. From vineyard slopes to shared dinners, the itinerary connects the wines in the glass with the places and communities behind them.
