🍇 About Domaine A

Located in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, Domaine A traces its roots to Stoney Vineyard, established in 1973 by George and Priscilla Park as the valley’s first commercial vineyard. Purchased in 1989 by H. Peter and Ruth Althaus, the estate developed a reputation for long-lived Bordeaux-style reds and refined whites, notably its flagship Cabernet Sauvignon and barrel-fermented Lady A Sauvignon Blanc. Its north-facing slopes, Jurassic dolerite soils and cool maritime climate shape wines built for complexity and ageing. In 2018, the estate joined Moorilla under David Walsh’s ownership, with winemaker Conor van der Reest continuing its legacy.
