🏡 About Louis Roederer

Founded in Reims in 1776, Louis Roederer remains an independent, family-owned Champagne house. Its identity is rooted in vineyard ownership, with holdings across the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne giving the house a close connection to the land behind its wines.

The estate encompasses approximately 250 hectares divided into 420 plots, tended individually to reflect their distinct growing conditions. Organic farming is central to its approach, with 135 hectares certified organic in 2021, marking a significant milestone in its vineyard work.

Its celebrated Cristal, created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, draws on selected Grand Cru plots across Champagne’s three principal vineyard regions.
