🏡 Featured Producer
🍇 Wangolina | Mount Benson, Limestone Coast, Australia
A family-owned boutique winery in South Australia, Wangolina traces its roots to the Goode family’s Wangolina Station, established in 1923. The vineyard was planted by John, Jan and Anita Goode in 1999, and Anita became sole owner and director in 2013.
Sandy loam over limestone and cooling Southern Ocean influences shape its maritime terroir. With a philosophy of grape variety first, producer second and region third, Wangolina makes classic varieties alongside alternatives such as Grüner Veltliner, Tempranillo, Montepulciano and Mencía, emphasising freshness and varietal character.
Its A Series explores grapes more commonly associated with European vineyards, from Austria’s Grüner Veltliner to Italy’s Fiano and Montepulciano, alongside varieties such as Mencía, Tempranillo and Carménère.
